%20and%20they%20are%20just%20beautiful%20inside,%20with%20absolutely%20exquisite%20pictures%20and%20illustrations.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20first%20one%20I'd%20like%20to%20talk%20about%20is%20called%20Family%20Teatime,%20Recipes,%20Tips%20&%20Treats,%20a%20Delicious%20Collection%20for%20Afternoon%20Tea.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20would%20be%20the%20perfect%20gift%20for%20the%20foodie%20in%20your%20life,%20jam%20packed%20full%20of%20lovely%20recipes,and%20tips,%20alongside%20household%20hints,%20extracts,%20poems%20and%20fun%20facts.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere%20is%20such%20a%20delicious%20assortment%20that%20I%20found%20it%20quite%20hard%20to%20pick%20which%20one%20I%20wanted%20to%20try%20out%20first!%20Luciously%20scrummy%20treats%20such%20as%20Fruity%20Apple%20Tea%20Bread,%20Honey%20Cake,%20Finger%20Sandwiches,%20Chocolate%20Whirls%20and%20Whipped%20Shortbreads,%20Fondant%20Fancies%20etc.,%20each%20one%20sounding%20and%20looking%20more%20delicious%20than%20the%20last.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEach%20recipe%20is%20outlined%20with%20three%20measurements%20.%20.%20.%20including%20measurements%20by%20weight,%20metric%20and%20North%20American%20cups,%20which%20means%20that%20there%20is%20no%20guess%20work%20or%20converting%20involved.%20(A%20big%20plus!)%20The%20hard%20work%20has%20already%20been%20done%20for%20you.%20As%20well,%20each%20recipe%20comes%20with%20a%20very%20tasty%20looking%20photo%20as%20you%20can%20plainly%20see!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInterspersed%20between%20the%20recipes%20you%20will%20find%20plenty%20of%20fun%20facts,%20baking%20tips,%20poetry%20and%20everything%20you%20ever%20wanted%20to%20know%20about%20the%20taking%20and%20practice%20of%20Afternoon%20Tea!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20poetic%20pictures%20are%20just%20beautiful%20and%20so%20very%20quaint.%20Included%20are%20all%20the%20traditions%20and%20history%20of%20tea%20and%20tea%20taking.%20I%20found%20it%20all%20so%20very%20fascinating%20indeed.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAltogether%20is%20is%20a%20beautiful%20and%20very%20well%20presented%20book.%20I%20have%20fallen%20deeply%20in%20love%20with%20it.%20I%20am%20sure%20that%20if%20you%20know%20anyone%20who%20adores%20Afternoon%20Tea%20and%20all%20that%20it%20entails,%20they%20would%20find%20this%20a%20lovely%20gift%20indeed.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELike%20I%20said%20I%20had%20a%20really%20difficult%20time%20deciding%20which%20treat%20I%20was%20going%20to%20bake%20first.%20Everything%20looked%20and%20sounded%20soooooo%20scrummy!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20finally%20settled%20on%20the%20Fruit%20&%20Nut%20Flapjacks,%20for%20several%20reasons.%20Firstly,%20I%20had%20everything%20I%20needed%20already%20in%20the%20house%20and%20wouldn't%20need%20to%20go%20out%20shopping%20for%20ingredients.%20I%20wanted%20you%20to%20be%20able%20to%20do%20the%20same.%20The%20ingredients%20called%20for%20are%20simple%20and%20uncomplicated.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESecondly,%20the%20picture%20that%20was%20with%20the%20recipe%20looked%20fantastic.%20So%20buttery%20and%20delicious,%20but%20that's%20not%20all%20.%20.%20.%20the%20recipe%20seemed%20to%20be%20very%20simple%20and%20uncomplicated%20.%20.%20.%20something%20even%20a%20child%20could%20execute%20with%20some%20supervision.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThirdly,%20I%20have%20been%20looking%20for%20the%20perfect%20flapjack%20recipe%20since%20I%20arrived%20over%20here%20in%20the%20UK.%20Flapjacks%20were%20not%20something%20I%20had%20ever%20heard%20of%20before%20I%20came%20over%20here,%20and%20I%20have%20to%20say%20that%20I%20have%20fallen%20in%20love%20with%20them%20.%20.%20.%20but%20most%20of%20the%20recipes%20that%20I%20have%20tried%20have%20been,%20in%20all%20fairness,%20simply%20quite%20disappointing!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20delightful%20little%20mouthfuls,%20I%20am%20happy%20to%20say,%20did%20not%20disappoint%20in%20the%20least!%20Oh%20so%20buttery%20and%20scrummily%20delicious,%20with%20just%20the%20right%20amount%20of%20raisins%20and%20nuts.%20(I%20did%20substitute%20pecans%20for%20walnuts%20as%20I%20didn't%20have%20any%20walnuts%20and%20they%20were%20perfectly%20wonderful!)%20Plus%20that%20lemon%20drizzle%20icing%20sets%20them%20off%20beautifully%20to%20the%20eye%20and%20also%20gives%20a%20little%20extra%20special%20something,%20that%20would%20make%20them%20quite,%20quite%20at%20home%20on%20any%20elegant%20teatime%20table!%20In%20short,%20do%20not%20hesitate%20to%20make%20these.%20You%20must%20make%20them%20today%20and%20then%20if%20you%20can%20.%20.%20.%20buy%20the%20book,%20because%20if%20these%20tasty%20little%20treats%20are%20any%20indication,%20this%20book%20is%20a%20winner%20through%20and%20through!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*Fruit%20&%20Nut%20Flapjacks*%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDelicious%20little%20buttery%20and%20oaty%20bites%20of%20scrumminess.%20From%20the%20cookery%20book,%20Family%20Teatime,%20published%20by%20Flametree%20Publishing.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20the%20oven%20to%20180*C/350*F/%20gas%20mark%204.%20Lightly%20butter%20a%209%20inch%20square%20pan.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMelt%20the%20butter%20(or%20margarine)%20along%20with%20the%20sugar%20and%20syrup%20i
