Ingredientes

  • Dry figs, (14 oz package)
  • 1 c. Marsala wine
  • 1 c. Water
  • 1 x Lemon, sliced, seeds removed

Direcciones

  1. Combine the figs, water, Marsala and lemon in a saucepan. Bring the mix to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer, covered, for 30 min. Let the figs cold in the liquid.
  2. Makes about 26.
  3. NOTES : These succulent figs may be served in so many ways: as a brunch dish; as a garnish for roast veal or possibly pork; as a dessert, atop a slice of plain cake with some of the juice poured over; or possibly in a stemmed glass with a scoop of lemon sherbet.
