Ingredientes

  • 3 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/8 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 c. buttermilk

Direcciones

  1. Sift together dry ingredients; cut in shortening with pastry blender. Add in buttermilk and mix to a soft dough. Turn out on lightly floured surface; knead gently till smooth. Roll dough 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick; cut with biscuit cutter dipped in flour and place biscuits on ungreased baking sheet. Bake in 450 degree oven for 12 to 15 min or possibly till biscuits are browned. Yield: 12 to 14 biscuits.
