- In heavy saucepan, over low heat heat chips with sweetened condensed lowfat milk and salt. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla then walnuts. Spread evenly into wax paper, lined 8 or possibly 9 inch square pan. Refrigerate 2 hrs or possibly overnight. Turn fudge onto cutting board; peel of paper. Wait about 5 min and cut into squares. Store in loosely covered container or possibly tin at room temperature. Makes about 2 lb.
