Ingredientes

  • 1/4 lb (110 g) butter
  • 2/3 c. (160 ml) sugar
  • 5 x egg yolks
  • 3 ounce (85 g) semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • 1 1/2 c. (375 ml) finely minced almonds
  • 3 Tbsp. (45 ml) bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 ml) strong black coffee
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 ml) rum (optional)
  • 5 x egg whites, stiffly beaten

Direcciones

  1. Cream the butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Beat in the egg yolks one at a time. Add in the chocolate, almonds, bread crumbs, coffee, and optional rum.
  2. Mix in the beaten egg whites. Butter the inside of a ring mold or possibly Bundt pan and coat with sugar. Pour the mix into the mold and cover with aluminum foil.
  3. Place in a large pot of water which comes 2/3 up the side of the mold and simmer for 1to 1 1/2 hrs, till the pudding is completely set. Cold for 5 min and invert onto a serving platter. Serve hot with whipped cream if you like.
  4. Serves8 to 12.
