French Toast Strata

Ingredientes

  • 12 c. Bread cubes
  • 8 ounce Cream cheese cubed
  • 8 x Egg
  • 2 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
  • 6 Tbsp. Margarine
  • 1/4 c. Maple syrup

Direcciones

  1. Grease a 3 qt rectangular baking dish. Place half of the bread cubes in the dish. Top with cream cheese cubes and remaining bread cubes. Combine Large eggs, lowfat milk, melted margarine or possibly butter, and maple syrup in a blender container or possibly mixing bowl. Process or possibly beat with a rotary beater till well combined. Pour egg mix proportionately over the bread and cheese cubes. Using a spatula, lightly press layers down to moisten. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for 2 to 24 hrs. Remove plastic wrap from baking dish. Bake, uncovered, in a 325 oven for 35 to 40 min or possibly till center appears set and the edges are lightly golden brown. Let stand about 10 min before serving. Serve with syrup.
