Fresh Asparagus With Sesame Dip

Ingredientes

  • 2 lb Asparagus, fresh
  • 3/4 c. Oil
  • 2 Tbsp. Sesame seed
  • 1 x Egg yolk
  • 2 Tbsp. White wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 1 x Clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. Soy sauce Salt to taste

Direcciones

  1. Cook asparagus to just barely done and chill.
  2. To prepare dip, heat 1/4 c. oil in saucepan over medium low heat and stir in sesame seeds. Cook till seeds are golden brown, about three to five min.
  3. Add in remaining oil and remove from heat. Allow to cold. Whisk together egg, vinegar and honey. Slowly blend in a thin stream of the oil mix. Blend in soy sauce and garlic. Add in salt. Chill, allowing flavors to blend.
  4. NOTES :This recipe doubles easily and can also be served as a "salad"
  5. simply by using the sesame dip as a dressing for the chilled asparagus.
