I had several very ripe peaches that were in need of attention. Instead of letting the juicy peach dribble all over my mouth and down my arms, I decided to make fresh peach nectar.

And what can you do with fresh peach nectar? Well, at least one of the things you can do is make fresh Peach Bellini’s. Now you all know that I am all over that.

sugar for the rim of the glass

Take some of the left over peach and rub the rim of your champagne flute with the peach and then dip the rim of the glass in sugar.

To make fresh peach nectar, peel a peach, slice it and remove pit. For every two cups of sliced peaches add 1 cup of water. Puree in your blender and refrigerate until ready to use.

If you don’t have fresh peaches, you can use frozen peaches or you can buy peach nectar at the local store. One brand that I can recommend is Kern’s.

This is a great change from a mimosa with your breakfast or brunch. Or, if you are like me, then this is your fancy drink of choice because every day is a celebration.
