Fried Chicken With Hot Cranberry Sauce

Ingredientes

  • 2 x Broiler chickens - (1 1/2 lbs ea)
  • 2 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. Flour sifted
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1/2 c. Water for deep frying
  • 1 c. Canned whole cranberries
  • 1/2 c. Applesauce

Direcciones

  1. Have the broilers cut up. Season with 2 tsp. salt, the pepper, and sprinkle with 3 Tbsp. flour.
  2. Sift the remaining flour, salt and the baking pwdr into a bowl. Beat in the egg and water. Dip the chicken pcs in this batter, coating them well.
  3. Heat the fat to 370 degrees and fry a few pcs at a time in it. Drain and place in a baking pan. Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 min, removing the cover for the last 10 min.
  4. Combine the cranberries and applesauce and heat. Serve with the fried chicken.
  5. Serves 6 to 8.
