Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 pound all purpose dough

  1. Pour both oils into an 8 inch frying pan, till the frying pan is half full. Heat the oils over medium heat. Meanwhile, prepare your pcs of dough. Break off pcs of dough the size of the palm of your hand. Flatten each piece with your hands till it is 1/2 to 1 inch thick. With a fork, prick the top of each piece of dough all over.When the oil is very hot, but not smoking, begin to fry the dough. Cook as many pcs as you can fit in the frying pan at the same time. When the pcs become light brown on one side, turn them. When the other side is also light brown, transfer the fried dough to a paper towel to drain. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Makes about 6 pcs of fried dough.
