Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1/4 lb Grnd chuck
  • 3/4 lb Grnd pork
  • 1 c. Onion, minced
  • 1/2 c. Green onion & tops, minced
  • 1/4 c. Parsley
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano
  • 2 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/4 c. Shortening
  • 2 x Large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. Lowfat milk Vegetable oil for frying

  1. FILLING: Mix oil and flour in a 10-inch skillet. Add in next four ingredients. Cook till meat is no longer pink. Add in seasonings. Drain excess oil from the cooked mix. Cold before placing filling in pastry dough. PASTRY DOUGH: Sift flour, salt, and baking pwdr in a 1-qt bowl. Mix well. Cut in shortening. Mix lowfat milk and beaten Large eggs and add in to flour mix. Divide dough into 10 portions. Place one portion on a floured board and roll into a circle approximately 7 inches in diameter.
  2. Use a lid or possibly saucer to cut into a circle about 6 inches in diameter. Place several tablespoonsful of the meat mix on one edge of the pastry. Fold dough over. Dampen edges with water. Crimp edges together with a fork.
  3. (Make other pies in same manner.) Preheat oil to 350 degrees F. in a deep fat electric fryer. Place pies in oil and fry till golden. Remove from oil and drain on absorbent paper paper.
