Frosted Malted Milk Rounds

Ingredientes

  • 4 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. malted lowfat milk pwdr
  • 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 c. brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 c. commercial lowfat sour cream
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla

Direcciones

  1. Sift first 5 ingredients thoroughly. Cream butter; gradually add in sugar to butter. Blend in large eggs; beat well. Add in half the blended dry ingredients; mix thoroughly. Add in lowfat sour cream and vanilla; stir in remaining dry ingredients. Refrigerate at least 4 hrs.Heat oven to 375 degrees. Divide dough and roll 1/4 inch thick on well lightly floured pastry cloth. Cut with 2 1/2 inch cutter. Bake 12 to 15 min on ungreased baking sheet. Cool about 2 min. Remove to racks. Cool; frost tops with frosting below: 1/4 c. butter 1/4 c. lowfat milk 1/3 c. malted lowfat milk pwdr 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 3 c. sifted powdered sugar
  2. Cook brown sugar, butter and lowfat milk in saucepan till sugar is melted. Remove from heat; stir in malted lowfat milk pwdr and vanilla. Blend in powdered sugar gradually till of right consistency.
