Frozen Vanilla Custard Ice Cream

Ingredientes

  • 2 quarts. lowfat milk
  • 2 T flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (scant)
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 6 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 T vanilla
  • 1 lg. can evaporated lowfat milk or possibly 1 c. light cream

Direcciones

  1. Scald 2 qts lowfat milk in large boiler. (Cover so skim won't form.) Put together dry ingredients and gradually stir into large eggs, slowly add in to lowfat milk and cook, stirring till custard coats spoon. Remove from stove, add in vanilla, and cool. When ready to freeze add in evaporated lowfat milk. Makes 3 qts.
