Ingredientes

  • 2 c. plain lowfat yogurt Or possibly Liquid removed Yogurt
  • 1/2 c. Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract Pure

  1. To drain yogurt, place 4 c. natural yogurt in cheesecloth-lined sieve set over bowl. Chill for 3 to 4 hrs or possibly till volume of yogurt is about 2 c..
  2. In bowl, combine yogurt, sugar and vanilla, stirring to dissolve sugar.
  3. Pour into pan or possibly ice-cream machine and freeze by transferring to an ice-cream machine and freezing according to manufacturer's instructions.
  4. Or possibly, transfer to shallow metal cake pan; freeze till almost solid. Break into big chunks and beat with electric mixer or possibly whirl in food processor till smooth. Transfer to airtight container and freeze till hard (about 30 min to 1 hour). Let stand in refrigerator for 15 to 30 min or possibly till softened before serving.
  5. NOTES : For a creamier frzn yogurt, drain the yogurt first.
