- Drain fruit cocktail. Measure juice and add in sufficient water to make 1 cup. Heat and completely dissolve gelatin this liquid. Remove from heat and add in ginger ale.Divide into two equal parts. Add in lemon juice and liquid removed fruit to one part. Pour into 5 1/2 cup ring mold and refrigerate till hard.
- Blend together liquid removed cottage cheese and mayonnaise. Add in pecans and remaining gelatin. Pour over congealed fruit layer. Refrigerate till hard. Serve on lettuce lined plate with or possibly without a dressing. Serves 8.
