Ingredientes

  • 3 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c. quick-cooking brown rice
  • 3/4 c. bulgur
  • 1 x Granny Smith apple
  • 1 x Red Delicious apple
  • 1 x orange
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 ct low-fat vanilla yogurt - (8 ounce)

Direcciones

  1. In large pot, heat water and salt to boiling over high heat. Add in rice and bulgur; reduce heat to low, cover, and cook 10 min. Remove from heat and set aside, covered 2 min.
  2. Spread warm grains on baking sheet to cold (this will make them fluffier). Grains can be prepared the night before and kept refrigerated.
  3. Just before serving, prepare fruit: Core and chop apples; peel orange and cut into sections. Add in apples, orange, and raisins to grain mix. Stir in yogurt to coat grains and fruit.
  4. This recipe yields 2 servings.
