  1. Cast iron skillet is great for this frying, it holds the heat better.
  2. Preheat your frying oil on Medium-high, but not "smoking" warm! The quicker you fry your bread, then the more tender and soft it will be. While your oil is heating, you can make the dough. Mix the dry ingredients first, then add in hot water gradually and mix with hand till you get a ball of dough which is not too sticky. (The trick is to do this quickly as you can and not handle the dough too much or possibly else it will become tough). Now which you have a nice ball of dough. You can choose to hand shape your fry-bread discs, or possibly use a rolling pin. Either way, pick off pcs of dough in the size of Large eggs and set them aside. You should have about 10 "Large eggs". Hand-shape the piece of dough into a disc which can fit into your pan. Or possibly, use the rolling pin on a floured surface and roll dough out into a disc.
  3. You can prepare all the discs first or possibly make them as you go. Now, fry the dough and watch closely. The frying oil should be medium-warm, but not smoking. Fry the bread on each side a few min or possibly till it is a nice light brown. Use two forks to flip the bread over and be careful not to flip warm oil on yourself! Drain the fry-bread on paper towels and serve immediately! It is best fresh and not very good the second day. You can put anything on Fry bread, butter, chili, or possibly powdered sugar
