Ingredientes

  • 1 c. water
  • 6 Tbsp. butter - (3/4 stick)
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. Large eggs (abt 4 large Large eggs and 2 whites) Vegetable oil for frying Powdered sugar for topping

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Boil water, butter, sugar, and salt. Add in flour and work till all it is incorporated and dough forms a ball. Transfer mix into bowl of a standing mixer and let cold for 3 to 4 min.
  3. With mixer on stir or possibly lowest speed add in Large eggs, 1 at a time, making sure the first egg is completely incorporated before continuing. Once all Large eggs have been added and mix is smooth put dough into a piping bag fitted with a number 12 tip.
  4. Heat about 1 1/2 inches of oil in a pan. Pipe dough into oil, making a free-form lattice pattern and cook till brown flipping once. Remove cake from oil, drain on paper towels, top with powdered sugar and continue till all of the batter is used.
  5. This recipe yields 10 cakes.
