The week before the wedding I went picking...in my friend's yards. I picked laurel, jasmine, japonica, salal, heather, azalea, and mini-rhodies...all the greeney I would need to make 10 table arrangements, 2 large arrangements, 1 book table arrangement, 1 bride bouquet, 8 bridesmaids bouquets and 1 toss bouquet - it was a lot of greenery! I put it all in buckets of water overnight and the morning I left for Salt Lake City I wrapped it in a big plastic garbage bag and stuffed it all into a huge suitcase! (I threw in this pic of Mt Rainier because I wanted to show our recent house-guests that it does exist! %3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBy%20taking%20the%20greenery%20with%20me%20I%20saved%20my%20sister%20about%20$150...so%20it%20was%20worth%20the%20trouble.%20%20(I%20purchased%20all%20of%20the%20flowers%20at%20DWF%20in%20Salt%20Lake,%20a%20wholesale%20florist%20that%20was%20wonderful%20to%20work%20with...they%20ordered%20everything%20in%20and%20had%20it%20all%20wrapped%20and%20ready%20to%20go%20when%20we%20arrived%20-%20and%20they%20had%20a%20fantastic%20selection%20of%20ribbon,%20tulle%20and%20vases.%20%20I%20know%20Costco%20is%20now%20in%20the%20wedding%20biz%20but%20buying%20from%20a%20wholesaler%20is%20still%20cheaper%20and%20you%20can%20order%20what%20you%20want.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGabby%20and%20Mike%20got%20married%20at%20The%20Old%20Meeting%20House%20in%20Salt%20Lake%20-%20a%20beautiful%20old%20building%20that%20was%20once%20a%20church.%20%20Everything%20looked%20great%20-%20the%20flowers%20were%20beautiful%20and%20the%20greenery%20I%20picked%20a%20week%20before%20still%20looked%20wonderful!%20%20The%20morning%20of%20the%20wedding%20it%20snowed...of%20course,%20it's%20Utah!%20%20The%20bride,%20who%20at%20the%2011th%20hour%20turned%20from%20Bridezilla%20back%20into%20her%20sweet%20self,%20could%20not%20stop%20smiling.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGabby's%20colors%20were%20Tiffany%20blue,%20pale%20pink%20and%20brown...Gabby%20ordered%20lollipops%20for%20favors%20and%20I%20stuck%20them%20into%20heads%20of%20cabbage,%20hidden%20in%20silver%20bowls,%20it%20worked%20like%20a%20charm!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESix%20of%20the%20bridesmaids%20are%20in%20the%20pic%20above%20-%20the%20other%20two%20were%20always%20wandering!%20%20Gabby's%20cake%20was%20amazing%20and%20was%20nothing%20short%20of%20a%20miracle.%20%20The%20lady%20who%20made%20the%20cake%20was%20given%20a%20picture%20of%20the%20cake%20that%20Gabby%20wanted%20-%20it%20was,%20in%20a%20word,%20hideous.%20%20So%20the%20cake%20lady,%20who%20could%20not%20bring%20herself%20to%20make%20the%20cake%20in%20the%20picture,%20changed%20it%20a%20bit%20and%20this%20is%20the%20cake%20Gabby%20ended%20up%20with%20-%20and%20she%20loved%20it!%20%20And%20it%20was%20the%20best%20wedding%20cake%20I've%20ever%20tasted%20-%20as%20in,%20it%20was%20really,%20really%20good!%20%20The%20bottom%20layer%20was%20chocolate%20with%20German%20Chocolate%20filling.%20%20The%20middle%20layer%20was%20white%20cake%20with%20the%20same%20filling...and%20the%20top%20layer%20was%20chocolate...can%20you%20tell%20the%20bride%20loves%20chocolate?%20%20Gabby's%20pretty%20shoes%20-%20which%20spent%20more%20time%20off%20her%20feet%20than%20on.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESuch%20a%20beautiful%20bride!%20%20(So%20sad%20I%20didn't%20notice%20that%20coat%20hanging%20in%20the%20background%20-%20but%20alas,%20I%20am%20not%20a%20photographer!%20%20That%20job%20fell%20to%20the%20girl,%20who%20is%20an%20excellent%20photog,%20so%20I%20know%20they'll%20have%20beautiful%20wedding%20pics.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20sweet%20mom,%20my%20beautiful%20sister%20and%20the%20bride...it%20was%20a%20wonderful%20day!%20%20And%20then%20there's%20Max...he%20and%20I%20spent%20quite%20a%20bit%20of%20time%20in%20the%20Bride's%20room...where%20I%20could%20corral%20him%20for%20a%20bit%20instead%20of%20chasing%20him%20around%20in%20high%20heels%20-%20he's%20so%20much%20faster%20than%20me!%20%20It%20was%20a%20long%20week%20and%20now%20I'm%20home%20getting%20ready%20for%20the%20next%20adventure...Disneyland%20with%20Max!%20%20WoooHoo!!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
