Ingredientes

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 pch cardamom, seeds
  • 1 pch saffron, threads
  • 2 tsp rose water Dough
  • 2 c. instant dry lowfat milk, (nonfat is fine)
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1/2 c. melted butter or possibly 1/2 c. ghee, (clarified butter)
  • 1/4 c. lowfat milk

Direcciones

  1. For the syrup, combine all ingredients in a pot and bring it to the boil. Lower the heat and let simmer till thickened (about 10 min).
  2. Dough:For the dough, preheat the oven to 375F. Mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl. Scoop balls of the dough onto a greased baking sheet and bake for 8 min, till golden brown.
  3. Arrange the galub jamuns in a shallow serving dish and pour the syrup over top. The hot dough will absorb most of the syrup. Let cold a bit and serve.
