%20and%20then%20I%20think%20afterwards,%20weather%20permitting,%20we%20will%20be%20enjoying%20a%20lovely%20little%20Garden%20Party%20to%20toast%20the%20young%20couple.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'll%20spread%20our%20outside%20table%20with%20a%20pretty%20cloth,%20and%20lay%20on%20some%20punch%20and%20pretty%20finger%20sandwiches,%20perhaps%20some%20sausage%20rolls%20and%20a%20pork%20pie%20or%20two,%20and%20other%20finger%20foods%20and%20goodies%20.%20.%20.%20a%20veritable%20Garden%20Party%20Feast%20fit%20for%20royalty!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20may%20have%20one%20big%20cake,%20or%20I%20may%20just%20bake%20a%20bunch%20of%20these%20pretty%20little%20Garden%20Party%20Fairy%20Cakes%20that%20I%20came%20up%20with%20to%20use%20some%20of%20that%20lovely%20icing%20sugar%20Tate%20&%20Lyle%20sent%20me.%20Aren't%20they%20cute???%20I%20was%20going%20to%20do%20something%20in%20red,%20white%20and%20blue,%20but%20you%20would%20be%20hard%20pressed%20right%20now%20to%20come%20up%20with%20anything%20red,%20white%20or%20blue%20to%20decorate%20your%20cakes%20with.%20They've%20all%20been%20scooped%20up%20and%20sold%20out,%20but%20perhaps%20I%20can%20use%20some%20fresh%20red%20and%20blue%20berries%20on%20the%20day,%20which%20might%20be%20nice.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20the%20meantime,%20I%20think%20these%20fairy%20cakes%20fit%20the%20bill%20perfectly,%20with%20their%20cute%20little%20flower%20basket%20shapes,(%20thanks%20to%20my%20little%20brioche%20roll%20tins,)%20a%20delicious%20green%20tinted%20butter%20cream%20and%20a%20sprinkling%20of%20little%20blossoms%20on%20the%20top.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDefinitely%20Royal%20Wedding%20Garden%20Party%20fare,%20don't%20you%20think???%20(They%20would%20be%20great%20for%20Easter%20too!)%20Buttery,%20rich%20and%20really%20vanilla-ee!!%20Oh%20so%20scrummy%20yummy!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*Garden%20Party%20Fairy%20Cakes*%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMakes%2012%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPretty%20little%20fairy%20cakes,%20flavoured%20with%20vanilla,%20topped%20with%20butter%20cream%20and%20then%20decorated%20according%20to%20your%20fancy!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDecorations%20and%20sprinkles%20as%20desired.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20the%20oven%20to%20190*C/375*F/%20gas%20mark%205.%20Butter%20and%20flour%2012%20pretty%20cupcake%20molds,%20or%20use%20as%20I%20have%20done,%2012%20brioche%20roll%20tins.%20Set%20on%20a%20baking%20sheet%20and%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUsing%20an%20electric%20whisk,%20cream%20together%20the%20butter%20and%20sugar%20until%20light%20and%20fluffy.%20Beat%20in%20the%20eggs,%20a%20bit%20at%20a%20time%20until%20well%20combined,%20adding%20a%20TBS%20of%20the%20measured%20flour%20if%20the%20mixture%20begins%20to%20curdle.%20Fold%20in%20the%20flour.%20Stir%20in%20the%20milk%20and%20vanilla%20until%20thoroughly%20combined.%20Divide%20the%20batter%20between%20the%20baking%20cups%20equally.%20Bake%20for%2015%20to%2020%20minutes,%20until%20well%20risen,%20golden%20and%20a%20toothpick%20inserted%20in%20the%20centre%20comes%20out%20clean.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20from%20the%20oven.%20Let%20cool%20in%20the%20tins%20for%205%20minutes,%20then%20remove%20to%20a%20wire%20rack%20to%20finish%20cooling%20completely.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20make%20the%20buttercream,%20measure%20all%20the%20ingredients%20into%20a%20bowl%20and%20beat%20with%20an%20electric%20whisk%20until%20smooth%20and%20creamy.%20You%20can%20add%20a%20drop%20of%20colouring%20if%20you%20wish%20to%20tint%20it.%20Spread%20some%20on%20the%20top%20of%20each%20cooled%20cake%20and%20then%20decorate%20with%20sprinkles%20etc.%20as%20you%20wish.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20are%20in%20a%20baking%20mood%20please%20do%20check%20out%20the%20We%20Love%20Baking%20page%20on%20Facebook%20by%20Tate%20&%20Lyle.%20It's%20wonderful%20and%20there's%20always%20something%20delicous%20baking%20there!%20It's%20one%20of%20my%20favourite%20pages!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
