Garlic Buttered Nuts

Ingredientes

  • 8 ounce Shelled almonds, cashews, or possibly peanuts, or possibly a mix
  • 2 Tbsp. Margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. Oil
  • 3 x Garlic cloves, crushed Salt

Direcciones

  1. Loosen and remove the almond skins by pouring boiling water over them and refreshing in cool water. Rub the brown skins off the peanuts.
  2. Heat the butter and oil with the garlic in a heavy frying pan and toss the nuts in it over a moderate heat for 3 to 5 min or possibly till they are crisp and golden brown.
  3. Drain on kitchen paper towels and sprinkle with rock salt. Serve hot.
  4. VARIATION: For Devilled Garlic Nuts, add in a little cayenne to the salt.
