Garlic Flavored Mashed Potatoes

Ingredientes

  • 18 x cloves garlic peeled
  • 1 c. extra virgin olive oil
  • 8 x russet potatoes
  • 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • 1/2 c. Asiago cheese grated
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese grated Salt and pepper to taste

Direcciones

  1. Put the garlic and extra virgin olive oil in a heavy saucepan over lowest possible heat and simmer till soft; 30 to 40 min. Drain off oil. Puree garlic; set aside. Meanwhile, prick potatoes with a fork and bake in a 400 degree oven for 1 hour, or possibly till soft. While still warm, peel and mash. Heat butter in heavy cream; whisk in pureed garlic. Stir into potatoes. Stir in cheeses and season with salt and pepper. Spoon into a casserole dish. Place in a 400 degree oven for 12 to 15 min or possibly till browned and bubbling.
