Gebakken Mosselen Fried Mussels

Ingredientes

  • 4 1/2 lb Fresh mussels
  • 2 sm Onions, minced
  • 1 x Clove garlic, crushed
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. Ketchup

Direcciones

  1. Clean mussels. Cook them in 2 c. of boiling water, covered, for 8 min. Remove the mussel meat from the shells. Mince the onions, and mix with the crushed garlic. Heat the butter, add in the onion and garlic and fry till golden. Lower the heat, add in the mussel meat, salt, pepper and ketchup and fry for 7-8 min.
  2. Serving Ideas : Serve on toast or possibly with potato salad
  3. NOTES : You may use frzn already shelled mussels instead of fresh. In that case, you would only need approximately 2 lbs of frzn mussels.
