This Pilau dish will remind you of a tasty risotto with an american twist. It is much easier to make for large parties. Sophisticated, easy and tasty...just the way I like it.

  1. Fry bacon and drain on towels
  2. Add olive oil and saute onions, 3 minutes till soft
  3. Add rice and stir
  4. Add all ingredients but shrimp & bacon
  5. Cover and simmer 30 minutes
  6. Add Shrimp and Bacon
  7. Cook about 8 minutes more
  8. Fluff with fork and serve.

    This is a great recipe for a large group. Easy to prepare and pretty to serve. I would recommend making a separate pot for kids and using less cayenne pepper. You might try some lemon wedges on the side, too!
