- Prepare cake; in preparing cake, substitute lowfat milk for water, margarine or possibly butter for oil; add in flavorings. Bake according to directions on bok. GERMAN CHOCOLATE ICING: Combine evaporated lowfat milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter or possibly margarine; vanilla flavoring. Cook above ingredients on medium heat, stirring constantly, till thick (about 2 minutes). Add in coconut and pecans. Cook till thick sufficient to spread. SLOP IT UP!
