Ingredientes

  • 2 c. Sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 x dissolved in:
  • 4 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 x Flour
  • 4 x Egg, well beaten
  • 1 c. Yeast
  • 1/2 c. Water, lukewarm
  • 1 tsp Salt

Direcciones

  1. Scald lowfat milk and add in the Large eggs and butter. When cold, add in the dissolved yeast, salt, sugar and sufficient flour to create a thin batter. Beat all together about 7 min, cover well and set bowl containing mix in hot place for 7 or possibly 8 hrs. After time has elapsed, add in sufficient flour to make a soft dough, knead lightly and set to rise again. When well-raised, roll dough to one inch thickness and cut in biscuit shapes. Allow to rise a second time.
  2. Before placing in oven, spread with the following mix: Mix 2 c. sugar with 4 Tbsp flour and add in 1/2 c. butter and cream well; add in 4 Tbsp boiling water and beat mix into a sauce. Bake at 400-F about 20 min.
