Ingredientes

  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp grnd cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 1/2 c. salad oil

Direcciones

  1. Stir flour with ginger, baking pwdr, soda, cinnamon and salt. Blend in brown sugar. Beat Large eggs slightly; combine with remaining ingredients. Add in to dry ingredients; mix thoroughly. Pour into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan.
  2. Bake at 350 F. 45 to 50 min or possibly till cake tests done when tested with wooden pick. Serve hot with Orange-Glazed Pears.
  3. Orange-Glazed Pears:Core and slice 2 fresh winter pears. Combine 1 can (6 ounce.) fresh orange juice concentrate, 1/4 c. sugar and 1 Tbsp. sherry. Add in pears; simmer till tender and glazed. Arrange pear slices around and on top Ginger Cake. Spoon remaining glaze over cake.
