Ingredientes

  • 10 sm Ripe pears, (about 3 pounds)
  • 1 c. Pear nectar
  • 4 x Dry pear halves, minced (available at health foods stores andspecialty foods shops)
  • 1/4 c. Sugar, or possibly to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. Unsalted butter
  • 1 Tbsp. Julienne strips peeled fresh ginger
  • 1 Tbsp. Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 x Cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Direcciones

  1. Peel, core, and finely chop fresh pears. In a saucepan simmer fresh pears, nectar, dry pears, sugar, butter, ginger, lemon juice, cinnamon stick, and a healthy pinch of salt till pears are tender, about 25 min. Remove pan from heat and stir in vanilla. Throw away cinnamon stick.
  2. Force pear mix through a food mill or possibly ricer, or possibly in a food processor puree to desired consistency.
  3. Makes about 4 c..
