Gingerbread Cookie Biscuits

Ingredientes

  • 4 c. whole wheat flour
  • 2/3 c. dry lowfat milk pwdr
  • 15 dog vitamins, grnd fine in blender
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 large eggs, slightly beaten

Direcciones

  1. Put together all ingredients in large mixing bowl. Stir till well mixed; then knead with hands till dough is no longer sticky (add in a bit more flour or possibly water till you have a product which is easily handled but still pliable). On floured surface, roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness.Cut with favorite cookie cutters and place dough on ungreased baking sheet. Bake low and slow at 250 degrees for 15 min, turn cookies over and bake an additional 15 min.
  2. Remove cookies from baking sheets and allow them to air-dry for medium hard biscuits. For hard biscuits, leave cookies in oven, turn off heat and with the door closed, leave them overnight. Repeat oven-drying procedure if necessary. These keep well in freezer.
  3. You can purchase dog vitamins at your favorite pet store or possibly at your veterinarians office. If you like, you may substitute grnd bone meal or possibly brewer's yeast tablets.
