Ingredientes

  • 2 c. Flour
  • 1/8 tsp Grnd nutmeg
  • 1/3 c. Firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/3 c. Unsalted butter, chilled
  • 2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 lrg Egg
  • 1/8 tsp Baking soda
  • 3 Tbsp. Molasses
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd ginger
  • 3 Tbsp. Lowfat milk
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp Grnd cloves

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly butter a 10" circle on a baking sheet. In large bowl, stir together flour, brown sugar, baking pwdr, baking soda, spices, and salt. Cut the butter into the flour mix, till it resembles course crumbs. In a small bowl, stir together the egg, molasses, lowfat milk, and vanilla. Add in egg mix to flour mix and stir to combine.
  2. (You could add in raisins here if you want.) With lightly floured hands, pat the dough into an 8" circle on the prepared baking sheet. Cut into 8 wedges. Bake 20-25 min. Let cold 5 min, then transfer to rack to cold (some more). Recut into wedges, if necessary. (from "Simply Scones"
