Ingredientes

  • 1/4 c. Sugar
  • 1/4 c. Cream
  • 1 1/2 tsp Corn syrup, light
  • 2 tsp Butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. Confectioner's sugar, sifted
  • 1 1/4 tsp Vanilla extract, * see note

Direcciones

  1. Preparation Time: 0:10*You can substitute 3/4 tsp. rum extract for vanilla if you wish.
  2. Cook in top of double boiler over simmering heat the 1/4 c. sugar, cram, corn syrup and margarine. Stir till margarine is melted then remove from heat. Add in gradually the sifted confectioners sugar then the vanilla extract. Add in a few drops more of cream if frosting is too thick to spread.
  3. Using a spatula, frost top of cake and allow some of the frosting to trickle down the sides. Sufficient frosting to frost top of one 9x5 inch loaf cake. Double this if you wish. This is a good frosting to decorate the holiday cakes which you wish to decorate with pcs of candied fruit, raisins, sprinkles etc.
