Receta gluten-free nutty granola
Ingredients//
- 2 cups gluten-free organic rolled oats
- 2 scant handfuls of chopped raw nuts - I used walnuts, raw almonds, brazil, and cashew nuts
- 2 shakes of cinnamon (shake yo boo-tay...shake your boo-tay)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2tbsp unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp flax fibre
1/2 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
Directions//
add oats into a big bowl
chop the nuts....that sounded dirty, my bad.
melt the coconut oil and peanut butter - makes it easier to blend into granola, muesli (kiwi term) goodness
add all ingredients except protein powder to the oat bowl and stir around until all the oats are coated
add in vanilla protein powder last - I did this cause I thought it would be better evenly distributed...did it help? not sure...the granola had a good overall vanilla taste though (thanks to the vanilla extract too)
Place eventually on a cookie tray
Cook on 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes - depends on how crunchy you like your granola so check on it every so often until it's to the point you want it.
Makes 3 cups
Ideas//
add to yogurt for nutty taste, check out my greek yogurt granola parfait combination here
put a little on top of cereal...ooo gurl you fancy
top it on ice cream, mmm granola on ice cream has been a recent obsession in the last year - then again, anything on top of ice cream I'd probably love **cough cough Peanut Butter cough**
It just makes sense to have the word nutty in the title.
Anyone else love granola?
be GOOD to YOURSELF,
Jess
