Ingredientes

  • 1 c. unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. whole wheat bread flour
  • 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 tsp grnd ginger
  • 3/4 tsp grnd cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 x egg whites lightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce

Direcciones

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Lightly spray an 8x8" baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the flours, sugar, ginger, cinnamon, baking pwdr, and baking soda.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the egg whites, buttermilk, applesauce, and molasses. Add in the buttermilk mix to the flour mix. Beat with an electric mixer till combined.
  4. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 35 min, or possibly till a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. cook on a rack for 10 min. Then remove from the pan, and serve hot.
