Ingredientes

  • 2 c. Flour
  • 3/4 c. Brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. Lard or possibly butter
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg, optional
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon, optional
  • 1 c. Molasses
  • 1/2 c. Brown sugar
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 c. Warm water
  • 1 tsp Baking soda, dissolved in Warm water

Direcciones

  1. Make crumbs by mixing together all crumb ingredients.
  2. To make syrup, combine the syrup ingredients together.
  3. Pour 1/2 of the syrup into a pie crust, then add in 1/2 of the crumbs. Add in the remaining syrup and the rest of the crumbs. Bake the pie for 10 min at 400 oF, then reduce the heat to 350 oF for 50 min.
  4. This recipe makesenough for 2 pies.
