Marinated Grilled Mushroom Caps with Fresh Mozzarella Cheese~
Tasty with Wonderful Flavor from the Marinade~
A Great side dish or light Lunch~
1-2 cups Gourmet Warehouse Key Lime Marinade
4 large portobello mushrooms
2 1/4 inch thick slices fresh mozzarella cheese
2-ziplock gallon size baggies
Note: I added one thick slice of tomato on one mushroom "sandwich"
Remove mushroom stems and discard.
Lightly dry mushrooms with paper towels.
Place mushroom caps in large gallon size baggie,
2 caps per baggie. Drizzle marinade over mushroom caps.
Flip over and place baggies in refrigerate for 1 hour.
Remove each mushroom cap from baggie, discard left-over marinade.
Heat grill pan, GF grill or gas grill.
Lay each mushroom cap, gill side down on grill. Grill until golden brown, 5-8 minutes.
Turn mushroom caps over, grill until golden brown, 5-8 minutes.
Place one slice of fresh mozzarella cheese on top of two mushroom caps.
Top with remaining two mushroom caps.
Grill until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Marinated Cheese and Sausage Cubes~
Perfect for Football Sunday!
- lb mozzarella, sharp white cheddar or extra sharp cheddar cheese (or mixture of all 3)
- lb. summer sausage, (your favorite good quality sausage)
- 2 gallon size ziplock baggies
- 1-2 cups Gourmet Warehouse Key Lime Marinade
- Toothpicks for serving~
- Cut cheese into bite-size cubes
- Place cheese cubes in a ziplock baggie
- Pour marinade over cheese cubes
- Cut summer sausage into bite-size cubes
- Place summer sausage cubes in a ziplock baggie
- Pour marinade over summer sausage cubes
- Place in refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours
- Remove baggies from refrigerator, discard marinade
- Place cheese and sausage cubes on a plate or in a bowl
- Serve with toothpicks.
- Honey Garlic Pork Chops~
- Tasty, Succulent and Tender~
- 6 pork chops
- Gourmet Warehouse Honey Garlic Marinade
- 2 gallon size ziplock baggies
- 2-4 T olive oil
- Place 3 pork chops in one ziplock gallon size baggie
- Place 3 pork chops in the other ziplock baggie
- Divide marinade between baggies, pouring marinade over chops
- Seal baggies and place in the refrigerate for 4-6 hours
- When ready to cook pork chops, remove baggies from refrigerator
- Heat oil in a large skillet, over medium high heat
- Remove pork chops from marinade, discard left-over marinade
- Add pork chops, brown for 8 minutes
Turn chops over and cook an additional 8 minutes
Cover, turn heat to medium-low, simmer until chops are tender or no longer pink inside.
Cook time varies depending on thickness of chops
Remove from heat
Serve with Wild Rice and your choice of Vegetable
