Ingredientes

  • 1 cake yeast/2 Packages
  • 1/4 c. lukewarm water
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 c. cool water
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 5 c. sifted flour
  • 2-3 tbsp. butter/shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. cinnamon
  • Raisins, optional

Direcciones

  1. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Pour boiling water over shortening, sugar and salt. Add in cool water and cold to lukewarm Knead lightly on floured board till smooth. Place in greased bowl. Cover, let rise till double in size.
  2. Roll 1/4 inch thick. Spread soft butter (butter) over dough. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon (raisins) and roll up. Healthy pinch to seal. Cut in 1 inch sections and place in greased pan (allow room to rise). Rise 1 hour. Bake 20-25 min at 350 degrees (metal pan).
  3. Makes about 24. Frost if you like.
