Grandma Jessie's Applesauce Raisin Cake

Ingredientes

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. melted shortening
  • 2 1/2 c. chunky applesauce with 3 teaspoon soda in it
  • 1 c. (or possibly more) raisins
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice

Direcciones

  1. Combine sugar, melted shortening, applesauce-soda mix and let sit till foamy. Sift together flour, salt, and spices. Stir in raisins. Add in to first mix, stir till blended. Put into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch cake pan and bake at 350 degrees ONLY till edges pull away from pan (approximately 45 min.) Don't overbake. Cold and frost with Buttercream frosting.
