Receta Grandma's Soft Molasses Cookies

Ingredientes

1 c. Shortening 1/2 tsp Salt 3 tsp Soda 2 tsp Ginger 2 tsp Cinnamon 1 tsp Allspice or possibly cloves

1 c. Sugar 1 c. Molasses 1 x Egg 4 3/4 c. Flour (sifted) 3/4 c. Double strength cool coffee

Direcciones

1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Cream together first 7 ingredients (left to right); blend in molasses. Beat in egg; add in sifted flour alternately with coffee. Drop from tsp. onto lightly greased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart. Bake 15 min or possibly till done.
2. Yield: 5 dozen.
