Ingredientes

  • 1 c. Shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 3 x Large eggs
  • 4 c. All-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 c. Buttermilk
  • 1 x -(up to)
  • 1 1/4 tsp Almond extract Sugar (optional)

Direcciones

  1. Cream shortening, gradually add in sugar, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer. Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
  2. Combine flour, baking pwdr, soda and salt; add in to creamed mix alternately with buttermilk. Mix well. Stir in extract. Cover and refrigerate1 hour.
  3. Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness on a floured surface. Cut with a 2-3/4-inch round cookie cutter; place on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 min or possibly till edges begin to brown. Sprinkle with sugar, if you like. Cold.
