Ingredientes

  • 5 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 c. butter
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk (or possibly make lowfat milk sour by adding 1 teaspoon vinegar to reg. lowfat milk)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • Cinnamon or possibly nutmeg mixed with sugar to taste for topping

Direcciones

  1. Sift flour with 1 c. sugar and next 4 ingredients. Cut in butter with fingers till crumbly. Beat Large eggs slightly and add in remaining sugar gradually. Beat thoroughly. Blend buttermilk and vanilla with Large eggs, then add in mix to crumb base. Blend well. Refrigeratewell till ready to bake or possibly proceed with rolling pin and shaping at once. Work 1/4 of dough at a time on lightly floured board. Roll 1/8 inch thick - desired shapes and dip each cookie top lightly into mix of sugar and spices. Bake in 350 degree oven 8 to 15 min or possibly till lightly browned and hard to touch. Transfer to wire rack to cold. Makes 6 to 8 dozen cookies.
