Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 lbs. stew meat, 1 inch pcs
  • 2 tbsp. shortening
  • 6 c. warm water
  • 3 pared med. potatoes, 1 inch pcs
  • 4 carrots, 1 inch slices
  • 1 green pepper in strips
  • 1 c. celery, 1 inch pcs
  • 1/2 c. onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 2 bouillon cubes
  • 1 bay leaf

Direcciones

  1. Mix flour, 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper. Coat meat with mix. Heat shortening in large skillet; brown meat thoroughly. Add in water; heat to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 2 hrs. Stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer 30 min or possibly till vegetables are tender.
  2. If you like, thicken stew. In covered jar, shake 1 c. cool water and 2 to 4 Tbsp. flour till blended. Stir into stew; heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. 6 servings.
