Ingredientes

  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. pure lard, not melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon soda
  • 2 tbsp. baking pwdr
  • 2 lbs. self rising flour (or possibly sufficient to fill a large pan or possibly bowl)

Direcciones

  1. Pour flour into large bowl. Make a well in middle of flour and add in lowfat milk, lard, soda, and baking pwdr. Using hands fold in all the above ingredients using sufficient of the flour to make a sticky dough. Then knead into a soft ball. Healthy pinch out biscuits and roll between palms keeping hands floured to make biscuits about the size of a soup can top.
  2. Makes about 12 medium size biscuits. Bake at 500 degrees for 5-8 min.
