Ingredientes

  • 2 lb lean grnd beef
  • 1/4 c. potato peeled, grated
  • 1 x egg
  • 1 sm onion grated bread crumbs Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
  • 1 bot Heinz chili sauce - (13 ounce)
  • 1 jar grape jelly - (5 ounce)
  • 1 dsh Worcestershire sauce

Direcciones

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients in large bowl and mix well. Add in sufficient breadcrumbs to make meatballs the proper consistency; if the mix becomes too dry and crumbly, add in a little lowfat milk and continue. Season with salt and pepper. Form into small meatballs.
  2. Brown meatballs, a few at a time, in a large skillet over medium-high heat. If meat is very lean, you may need to add in a bit of oil to your skillet.
  3. Blend sauce ingredients and pour over meatballs. Cover and simmer about 30 min, stirring occasionally or possibly, transfer meatballs to a crockpot. Add in sauce, stir to coat, cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 10 hrs.
  4. This recipe yields about 100 meatballs.
  5. Yield: 100 meatballs
