1 cup chicken, beef, or vegetable stock, 1 cup water, and 1 cup dry red wine, (or 3 cups of whatever mix of these you prefer)

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

4 Iarge potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
