- Combine egg and lowfat milk. Stir in crumbs, parsley, onion, 3 tsp. sesame seeds, garlic, mint and salt. Add in grnd beef and mix well. Shape into 1" meatballs. Spray a large skillet with non-stick spray shortening. Brown meatballs. Cover and cook over low heat for 5 - 10 min or possibly till done. (Can also be baked on a rack in the oven.) With a slotted spoon, remove meatballs from pan and drain on paper towels. Place meatballs in pita pockets and top with lettuce, tomatoes and yogurt. Sprinkle with remaining sesame seeds. Can be served warm or possibly cool.
- NOTE: This is a heart healthy dish which is low in fat and cholesterol. 4 servings.
