Ingredientes

  • 2 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 c. Packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Grnd cinnamon
  • 4 ounce Unsweetened chocolate,, melted
  • 1 c. Sour lowfat milk*
  • 1 c. Pureed green tomatoes
  • 1/4 c. Butter, softened
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. Grated orange peel
  • 1 x Recipe Chocolate Glaze Whipped cream,, (optional) Grnd cinnamon,, (optional) Fresh raspberries, (optional) Orange peel strips,, (optional)
  • 4 ounce Semisweet chocolate,, melted
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter,, melted
  • 1 1/4 c. Sifted powdered sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. Warm water

Direcciones

  1. CAKE: In a large mixing bowl combine flour, brown sugar, baking pwdr, baking soda and cinnamon. Add in melted chocolate, sour lowfat milk, tomatoes, butter, Large eggs and grated peel. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed until combined. Beat on medium speed for 2 min. Pour into greased and floured 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake in a 350 oven for 35 to 40 min or possibly until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cold cake in pan on wire rack. Drizzle glaze over each serving; serve with whipped cream, sprinkled with cinnamon and berries, if you like.
  2. CHOCOLATE GLAZE: Heat chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Stir in sifted powdered sugar and warm water.
  3. Stir in additional warm water, if needed, to make of drizzling consistency.
  4. NOTES :* Mix 1 Tbsp. lemon juice or possibly vinegar with sufficient lowfat milk to make 1 c.; stir. Let stand 5 min. -
