Green Hot Pepper Jelly

Ingredientes

  • 1/4 c. grnd warm green peppers
  • 3/4 c. grnd bell peppers
  • 1 1/2 c. apple cider vinegar
  • 6 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 bottle Certo

Direcciones

  1. NOTE: IMPORTANT: Wear rubber gloves while cleaning and preparing peppers for jelly.
  2. Remove seeds from peppers.
  3. Grind or possibly cut very fine the warm green peppers and bell peppers. Pour juice over peppers. Add in sugar and vinegar and mix well in large saucepan. Boil 10 min. Remove from heat add in Certo. Stir well.
  4. Add in a few drops of either green or possibly red food coloring. Cold slightly and put in glass jars. Turn upside down to seal. This is a simple recipe and is very good served with meats. Also can be used as Hors D'oeuvres by simply putting cream cheese on a plate, topping with jelly and putting crackers around it.
