Chutneys are an essential part of our Indian cuisine and is generally served with idlis, dosas, rotis or just as a side dish. Todays recipe of green peas chutney is prepared with boiled green peas, coriander leaves and mint leaves. Green peas are high in fibre and rich in proteins. It also has a good amount of antioxidants. This chutney also goes well with plain steamed rice too. Coriander leaves and mint leaves added to it, enhances the taste of the chutney. Do try this yummy and healthy chutney and enjoy!!

INGREDIENTS
- Green peas (boiled) – 1 cup
- Coriander leaves – 1 cup
- Mint (pudina) leaves – 1/2 cup
- Green chillies – 2 (small)
- Garlic cloves – 4
- Ginger – 1/2 inch piece (roughly chopped)
- Rock salt or black salt as per taste
- Sugar – 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
- HOW TO MAKE OR PREPARE GREEN PEAS CHUTNEY RECIPE
Take 1 cup of fresh green peas and rinse it thoroughly. Boil the green peas till well cooked and drain the excess water. Keep it aside. In a mixer grinder, add the boiled peas, coriander leaves, mint leaves, garlic cloves and ginger.
Then add rock salt and sugar. Add very little water and grind everything to a smooth paste.
Transfer the chutney to a serving bowl. Lastly add the lemon juice and mix well. Tasty and healthy green peas chutney is ready to be served.
NOTES/TIPS
Add green chillies according to the spiciness required by you.
Sugar and lemon juice when added gives a tangy and spicy sweetness to the chutney.
