Grey Goose Fruits de Fête Champagne Cocktail

The good news about this Fruits de Fête cocktail from Grey Goose is that it’s a simple cocktail with a combination of juices and Grey Goose Le Citron Vodka. I love this vodka, it’s has all the great qualities of Grey Goose but with a subtle lemon flavor; perfect for so many of the cocktails I love making. While I may call it a champagne cocktail; the truth is it’s more of a Prosecco or Cava cocktail; I never waste my money on the higher priced French stuff when sparkling wines from Italy and Spain serve me just as well. Costco even carries what I would call my ‘house bubbly!’
While offering this cocktail today as a New Year’s libation, the truth is that it would be perfect for brunch all year long; it’s not unlike a mimosa but with a variety of fruit elements and of course a bit of vodka. True story. I never fake it when I make it. Getting those bubbles for a photo is often the result of filling the glass again and again until I get it right. Sooooo…when I did this the other day, I sort of forgot that I had not eaten for several hours, I was using a straw to remove the liquid from the glasses and when I was done? Let’s just say I was a bit giddy and especially glad that my friend Amy was doing the driving on a trip we had planned. Not drunk…nope, never. But yes, a bit giggly. Which was sort of fun. :)
I’m grateful for every one of you who follow this blog and check out my cooking and cocktailing adventures; I love doing it and having people enjoy it makes this work so much more fun. Like the rest of the world I’m looking at the upcoming season to include some salads and light plates and of course some new, fun and delicious drinks. Thanks for joining me and Cheers!
Happy New Year to All!!
